All individuals involved in dealing with technological, ecological and socioeconomic facets of mobile and static gear fisheries for finfish and shellfish are invited to submit titles and abstracts (maximum 400 words) under the appropriate symposium theme for consideration as an oral or poster presentation. Abstracts must be submitted, preferably by email as a pdf or word attachment to the Symposium Secretariat (laurinda.smith@unh.edu), by December 7, 2005. Notification of paper acceptance for the symposium and announcement of the programme will be available in May 2006. The final abstracts are due to the Symposium Secretariat by July 31, 2006. All abstracts, both oral and poster, will be published in the book of Symposium Proceedings. A selected number of papers will be eligible for publication, following peer review, in ICES Journal of Marine Science. The deadline for manuscripts for publication is August 31, 2006.
