Papers presented at the ICES 2006 Fishing Technology Symposium must be prefaced by the abstract. The abstracts will be published in the book of Symposium Proceedings.
Oral Presentations
Oral presentations will be limited to 15 minutes.
Guidelines for the presentation:
- State the purpose/objectives of the Paper, the main concepts and results, and the conclusions. Avoid going into detail and instead focus on your central messages. Be considerate of the fact that most members of the audience have a mother tongue other than English.
- Effective communication of your scientific work in the short time allotted requires the use of visual aids (overheads, or PC projectors). Allow sufficient time per slide/overhead.
- Ensure that your visual aids can be viewed clearly from a distance of at least 20 m.
- Overhead and PC projectors are provided.
- No slide projectors will be available.
Please hand in your PowerPoint presentation as soon as possible following your arrival at the Symposium and no later than the day before you are giving your presentation. It will be preloaded into the Conference network.
